I think immigration is a good resourse for a country: it brings in cheap manpower. it's rude to say, but it's true. as well, jobs that lots of "indigenous" do not take, because seen too modest for them, immigrants do.
but, on the other hand, immigration could be a source of problems such as crime and thuggery.
i think that with a careful control of who you let pass throught your borders, immigration will be a good resource for US, as it has been since US' birth.

George W. Bush nominated Harriet Miers to the U.S. Supreme Court: a woman with no judjing experience, but with skins about the president.
i think that should useful hear some other opinions about her, from same other points of view. as well, i think that is a too important responsability to been given to someone without experience about being a judje at all.

today, italy has seen the "primarie": the election that involves only the parts of the opposition for elect one leader.

currently, berlusconi is the leader of the italian government: man famous for being the first minister and owner of a soccer team, of the biggest private television and of one of the biggest editor company of the state at the same time...

in the last decade the opposition has never been united: they have always argued and fought each other.
this year they are trying to being more prepared, so they arranged these elections with several candidates belonged to different parts, but all in the opposition, for elect one who will conduct the campaign for the next state election against berlusconi.

this voting had big success: more than 4 million of people voting against the 500-750 thousands expected.
romano prodi won and immediately said: "this because people want to send berlusconi at home". he replayed: "this is the only way he can win: making vote only his people"

I think that Kaine made a better impression than Kilgore: he looked more sure than the republican, who seemed more evasive. I have noticed that Kilgore wanted more to accuse Kaine and to repeat how bad would be electing the adversary (increasing taxes, using commonwealth...), than to talk about his program. I also didn't like the way i judge Kaine a "mediocre mayor" about his term.
As well, I do not agree with Kilgore about most issue, neither i do with Kaine, but his view is closer to mine that Kilgore's.

The Gulf Coast is one the most important geographic areas about gas affording: the Gulf of Mexico provides about the 30% of all US oil production and, as well, the Louisiana’s harbors import a large part of the foreign importation.
The Hurricane Katrina has injured gas stations and ports, limiting in this way the gas proffer and increasing his price.
